Hosting the Presence

This small group is providing an opportunity for participants to know and be able to hear God better by partnering with the Holy Spirit. Each week we’ll spend a short time discussing the book, but the bulk of the meeting will be Holy Spirit led, focused on praise and worship, prayer, and sharing what God is showing you. Participants will be asked to purchase and read the book Hosting the Presence, by Bill Johnson

Foundations Class

This small group will explore the basic tenets of the Christian Faith and our church. It is designed to reach non-believers, new believers, and veteran believers. It is designed to get people closer to Jesus Christ, discover their personal giftings, and discuss possible church membership upon completion. The course has recently been revamped to accomodate people’s busy schedules. Nathan Bohn and Dave Scheer will co-teach and we meet downstairs in the Resource Center Room (enter by the southeast door by the big mailbox off the parking lot). The big change is that we will meet for only four Sundays (all in October).

A Study of the Epistle to the Ephesians (Meeting Thursdays)

In this semester we will dig in to the fascinating letter to the Ephesians. This letter is packed with great truths that can help us mature as believers in Christ. So come with an expectation to grow and find out more of who you are as a believer.

Mentoring 101

This small group is aimed at folks who want to learn how to mentor others, especially young Christians. Using Jesus as a model, we’ll discuss how to be a good mentee and a good mentor, and how to develop and work through mentoring relationships.

Luke Bible Study

The main goal is to give you an opportunity to love Jesus more and be in awe of Him more. Lots of discussion and Q and A time. Hope to cover 2-3 chapters per meeting.

Navigating Your Finances God’s Way

God has a lot to say about our money! There are 2,300 verses in the Bible about money; and 15% of what Jesus said was money-related. Let’s learn more about what the Lord wants us to do regarding our money! For each of 6 weeks, we’ll watch a DVD teaching by a renowned teacher of finances, Howard Dayton; followed by discussion and questions. Topics include: God’s Part & Our Part, Debt & Counsel, Generosity & Honesty, Saving & Investing, Work & Children, Finishing Well. In this small group,  individual situations can be addressed, discussed, and prayed about.

We’ll meet certain Wednesday evenings for our 6 meetings: Sept. 25 — Oct. 9, 23, 30 — Nov. 13 — Dec. 11.

God is Good

What comes to your mind when you think about what God is like? This is one of the most important questions we could ever take the time to examine. Why? Because what you believe about God’s goodness determines how you will respond to the trials and circumstances of everyday life. The group will include a study of the book, “God is Good: He’s Better Than You Think” by Bill Johnson, along with corresponding DVD sessions which we will watch together during group meetings.
