Book of Daniel

A study of the Book of Daniel. It will include historical background, interpretations from different viewpoints, personal application, discussions, and time for Q & A.  Daniel is one of the most amazing Old Testament books. God reveals major historic events and empires that would rule the earth after Daniel’s life. The Book also prophetically pinpoints the time of the Messiah’s coming as well as provides a vivid description of what Jesus would accomplish and what an anti-Christ will do. There will be much personal application gleaned from this small group along with some in-depth discussions about End-Times. A chapter-by-chapter commentary will be provided.

Biblical Allegories in J.R.R. Tolkien’s The Silmarillion

We will be reading and discussing Biblical allegories in the first third of Tolkien’s The Silmarillion.

Embracing the Second Half

Caleb Generation study by Steve Kelly of Wave Church is intended for you to come away ENCOURAGED in Gods promises, CHALLENGED in your purposes, and EXCITED about living a full second half.

We will meet 2 to 3 times a month. We will not meet on the weeks there is a church prayer meeting.

Foundations Class

Our 12-week Foundations Class has been revamped. It now includes all the “Plugged In” (previously called “Growth Track”) classes. Foundations is geared toward veteran Christians as well as new believers. It will help a non-believer understand why Christianity is believed by many. Several common and sometimes difficult questions will be answered, There also will be intriguing guest speakers that will hold your interest as they tell their stories. If you have already taken Foundations, you might consider taking it again due to the nice revisions and updates that are now included. So far, three people have done this even before the recent major changes, and they loved it. Remember, this group is not just for new believers. The purpose of Foundations Class remains the same: to get us closer to Jesus, His Word, and help us become active in His local church. I am very excited about this group! Note: We meet in the downstairs Resource Room (original barn section – south end).

Fresh Air

A breath of fresh air is about to sweep into your life. This powerful DVD curriculum, based on the debut book from pastor Chris Hodges, will revive your spirit and show you how to be fueled by God like never before. You’ll not only be refreshed in spirit yourself; you’ll discover how to create a life-giving environment of freedom and joyful purpose around you, and experience what it means to live an “I get to,” not an “I’ve got to,” kind of life every day.

Inner Healing

The book and Study Guide are available on and, among other places. Learn how to get past the barriers to total forgiveness and find the freedom that God has for you. This 13-week study has some homework exercises. If you’re ready to get real about the need to forgive, this small group is for you.

Learn to Play the Ukulele

This group will explore the importance of praise and worship in the scripture.  We will make a joyful noise to the Lord by learning to play the ukulele.  No prior music experience is necessary, just a willing heart to learn and praise God.  At the end of the group there will be an opportunity to worship together.  All instruments and voices are welcome to join us.

PB’s Awesome Men’s Group

We’re taking a different approach this semester. We’ll be using “Manhood Restored: How the Gospel Makes Men Whole” and Bill Hybels’ “Just Walk Across the Room” as curriculums. We plan on having an amazing snack, great fellowship and deep conversations around living as Christian men in this age. We meet in the cafe’ at church at 7 pm on Tuesday nights.

Sewing Blessings

We will be studying Sheila Walsh’s book “The Shelter of God’s Promises” and spending time learning/practicing our craftsmanship with needle and thread. Because there are a number of us who have unfinished quilts or pillow tops from last year’s group, we will again focus on those and similar projects.
