BASIC: Girl’s Small Group

A night of fellowship and faith on the Brockport Campus. We will take time every week to catch up, celebrate joys, and pray for one another. We will also work our way through the book Fireseeds of Spiritual Awakening by Dan Hayes.

Battle Plan

You have an enemy and he’s dead set on destroying all you hold dear. He does it strategically, and he specifically targets your heart, your home, your mind, your life.

Using New York Times best-selling author Priscilla Shirer’s book, Fervent, we will expose the enemy’s cruel, cunning intentions against us and then learn to craft our own personalized prayer strategies, giving us a battle plan to fight back with a weapon that really works…prayer.

Fathered by God – Learn What Your Dad Could Never Teach You

No matter what kind of dad you’ve had, no one can compare to Father God. This small group challenges heart issues on what it means to be a man, and son of the ultimate father.

(Men only)

Foundations Class

This group provides an opportunity for all people to become well acquainted with the essentials of Christianity, what Christ Community Church believes, and a pathway to discovering personal giftings that can guide participants into fulfilling an anointed role within and beyond the church. It is geared for non-Christians, new Christians, and veteran believers by covering important issues of the faith and providing answers to criticisms of the faith. Scriptural content will be made fresh and exciting. Each year the notebook outline is revised and updated. If you completed Foundations Class years ago, you might consider taking the class again. All re-takers were glad they did. There will be plenty of opportunity for Q & A. There are awesome guest speakers that will add credibility to the content outline. This has always been an exciting group and has helped many to be strengthened in Christ and become familiar with fellow believers.

Good Health, Good Life

This is a small group based on the book “Good Health, Good Life” by Joyce Meyers. Meeting the demands of your busy life may leave little time for you to focus on maintaining your personal well-being. But it is important to remember that each part of you—mind, body, and emotions—serves a purpose in God’s exciting plan for your future. Embracing a healthier lifestyle will help you fully experience all the good things He has in store for you.

Learn how to:
•Master your metabolism
•Eat in balanced ways
•Satisfy your spiritual hunger
•De-stress your life

How People Grow

Whether you’re hoping to achieve personal and spiritual growth or are looking for guidance to help others, you’ll find practical and proven wisdom in Drs. Henry Cloud and John Townsend’s “How People Grow: What the Bible Reveals About Personal Growth.”  Unpacking the practical and passionate theology that forms the backbone of their counseling, Cloud and Townsend shatter popular misconceptions about how God operates and how growth happens. You’ll discover what the essential processes are that make people grow.

How to Pray for Lost Loved Ones

Using the book by Dutch Sheets, we will examine Biblical principles for interceding for the unsaved and in the process remove our fears and give us tangible tools you can use to take back the lost. Discover Satan’s schemes to prevent loved ones from recognizing the truth and how to defeat them. It all begins with prayer.

Inner Healing Training

The twelve training sessions are DVD’s provided by Larry and Carol Arendas. After the twelve weeks Larry, Carol, and their team will come to CCC for personal ministry with each of the attendees.

The purpose of this group is to train people to become part of the inner healing ministry teams at CCC.

Love and Respect

Ephesians 5:33
“Nevertheless, let every one of you in particular so love his wife even as himself; and the wife see that she reverence her husband.”

Our small group will study resources to help married, divorced, separated, dating and single people. Men and women will learn how to resolve conflict, dealing with negative reactions. They will also learn how to motivate each other by meeting each other’s need. Even those who feel hopeless in their relationships will gain understanding on how to handle an indifferent or unresponsive partner.

Romans: The Letter that Changed the World, Part I

The most important idea in the Bible is how a Holy God can get a sinful man into Heaven and not compromise who He is. Romans tells us just that! It sits as a Master of the House before all of Paul’s writings. It is the Bible in miniature. It is the most important singular document ever penned by man and only inspiration could make it so.

We will take a slow, thoughtful look at the book of Romans to gain insight into its truths. We will use a DVD for teaching, but take breaks to discuss and digest the material. The goal is for everyone to understand the main points before moving on.
