Using an interview-style format, Pastor Bruce Plummer and Samuel Orlando discuss the disparity between the average American’s idea of poverty, and the reality of extreme poverty faced by 400 million children around the world. Orlando talks about his difficult childhood, which featured the loss of his father at age five. He then outlines how Compassion works through the local church to minister to needy children. Also discussed was the need for individuals to support this vital work by prayerfully considering sponsorship of children in Guatemala.
