The Strength of Hope

The world often sees “hoping” as synonymous with “wishing”. If you hope something happens, you often wish it would. But God sees hope as something different…something critical for believers to express in their walk with God.

God develops our hope: Romans 5:1-5

The enemy tries to sabotage our hope: I Peter 5:8-9

But God gives us strategies to maintain our hope:

  • Encourage yourself: Psalm 31:24; Psalm 38:15
  • Remember what God has done: Lamentations 3:21-24
  • Have an attitude of humility: Isaiah 57:15; James 4:10

We must remember that God is our source of hope: Hebrews 6:19; Romans 15:13
