COVID-19 Action Plan

COVID-19 ACTION PLAN AT CHRIST COMMUNITY CHURCH

May 19, 2021

In following the recommendations of the CDC, Christ Community is lifting the mask requirement at Sunday services for individuals who are fully vaccinated. If you re not fully vaccinated, we do recommend that you wear a mask.

Kids’ Quest and students will still be advised to wear a mask, as children 16 years old and younger are not eligible for the COVID-19 vaccine. We will be taking the same precautions as most school districts, meaning, children will be masked, as well as adult volunteers regardless of their vaccine status.

We are asking people to be kind and think of others around them and being mindful that some individuals are uncomfortable with not wearing a mask. We will NOT be requiring vaccine documentation to be shown or proven upon walking into the building on a Sunday morning. If you have any questions feel free to respond to this email and we will get back to you as soon as we can!

As a church we are committed to remaining open to continue serving our patrons and our community. Recognizing that there is still some risk in large gatherings, the leadership of Christ Community Church is confident that gatherings can be hosted safely while following appropriate guidelines.

Our activities will be limited to decrease exposure, limit surfaces touched, and lower the overall risk to our guests.

The following is a bulleted list of details to help define the experience our guests can expect when they attend our services.

  • Worship services will be shortened to approximately one (1) hour.
  • Guests will be asked to maintain appropriate social distance whenever possible (six feet) and wear face masks until seated.
  • Worship services will be streamed online.
  • Children’s ministries will follow the same guidelines as adult services, will added measure that children and volunteers will wear masks the entire time.
  • There will be no food, coffee, or water available to guests to limit the touching of shared surfaces.
  • All guests are encouraged to limit restroom use as much as possible.
  • Guests are encouraged to keep personal belongings with them at all times.
  • All printed materials will be eliminated or handled digitally.

We will provide masks and hand sanitizer, clean in between services if we have multiple services on the same day, as well as, making several facility improvements to limit touching and possible transmission of any germs.

March 20, 2020

The leadership of Christ Community Church (CCC) has decided to cancel cancel all events, gatherings, and non-essential meetings until further notice. This does not mean we will be inactive during this time. We are continuing to believe for more and declare DOUBLE over our church in 2020.
The challenges of this time also present great opportunities for us to BE THE CHURCH by loving God with all our hearts and loving our neighbors (Mark 12:30-31). Now more than ever, we need to live out our faith and recognize that God has always used people who believe in him to provide solutions in times of crisis. Thank you for your patience and trust during this unique time. Continue to cling to peace and hope, and pray for the needs of those around you.
“Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:7 (NLT)

The leadership of CCC would like to encourage you to live with hope and peace as we move ahead together. “Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand.
